The logo draws inspiration from the mythology of the Tlingit people, indigenous inhabitants of Alaska: *'Raven Steals the Sun.'*Long ago, at the world's dawn, Gray Eagle guarded the sun, moon, stars, water, and fire.

Despising mankind, he kept these elements hidden away, leaving humanity in cold and darkness. Gray Eagle had a beautiful daughter who fell in love with a handsome raven adorned in pure white feathers, and he loved her in return.When invited into the longhouse, Raven looked around the walls and saw the sun, moon, stars, water, and fire.

Ashamed of Gray Eagle's selfishness, he seized a quiet moment to steal the sacred elements and soar into the sky. Flying higher and higher, he hung the sun in the heavens, and as night fell, suspended the moon and stars.

Returning to earth with water and fire, he dropped water to form rivers, lakes, and streams. Lastly, holding a burning torch in his beak, smoke billowed back, staining his snowy plumage into the deepest black.

When his beak grew too hot, he dropped the fire onto rocks—hiding it within so that striking two flints together could spark flame for mankind. Because he brought these blessings to the world, Raven's feathers remain black to this day.Much like the white raven whose wings turned dark, we enter the world pure and clean, inevitably acquiring the colors of our pursuits and lives.
